Homewood Avenue is the debut EP from Hemlock Tears. Four songs written at Homewood Avenue in Toronto, then revisited years later from a bedroom in Tokyo.
These tracks start as scenes, then they start to tilt. They move in story order, following a loose emotional arc through memory, distance, and change. It isn’t a strict concept record, but it holds together like one: a quiet sequence, told through an imagined narrator.
The music doesn’t chase dramatic peaks. It lets tension gather, lets release arrive when it’s ready, and keeps moving.
Context
The title refers to a real address, but the details are intentionally blurred. What matters is the feeling of a place that once felt permanent, and later becomes something you carry with you, not as nostalgia, but as residue.
